Garden Workshop: IPM – Basic Integrated Pest Management
We’re planting seeds of nourishment and community: join us Saturday, July 11th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the East Palo Community Garden in East Palo Alto, for our IBP: Basic Integrated Pest Management workshop!
We welcome back expert Rob Bennaton; an Urban Ag, Food Systems & Environmental Education Consultant; for a lesson in ecologically-based pest control in your garden space. We will cover pest identification, how to diagnose a problem in your garden, and tools & techniques for prevention and management of various garden pests. This workshop includes a look at real examples as we inspect our community garden for any problem areas. Attendees will be able to take home a pocket magnifying glass and a beneficial predators identification poster. Come and discover how to protect your crops or spaces with eco-friendly techniques.
