Garden Workshop: Grass to Garden Transformations
We’re planting seeds of nourishment and community: join us Saturday, September 5th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the East Palo Community Garden in East Palo Alto, for our Grass to Garden Transformations workshop!
Join Brian Tatsuta from GrassRoots Ecology and Fresh Approach in learning how to convert your grass lawn into a biologically diverse native meadow. You will learn different methods for removing existing plant material, how to prep the space for new plants, you will be introduced to a variety of native California plants and where to aquire them, and the maintence needed after installation. Afterwards, we invite you to get hands on practice sheet mulching a section of the East Palo Alto Community Garden! Lets rewild our community together, one yard at a time!
