Freshest Cargo Repairs & Route Cancellations
>>>Update: Our East Bay routes are now expected to resume by the end of October. Stay tuned for updates!
We’re sad to report that CiCi, our beloved East Bay truck, suffered a nasty injury last week. After a collision with a garage door (don’t worry – everyone’s ok!), the pop-up window can no longer open and close, making the truck a hazard to operate.
Our Freshest Cargo trucks are custom-built, which means that ordering the parts required for a repair can take longer than expected. For this reason, the following East Bay routes will be cancelled until further notice while we wait for repairs:
• Monday – San Pablo
• Tuesday – East Contra Costa (Antioch, Bay Point, Pittsburg)
• Wednesday – Richmond
Our current estimate is that the truck will be back up and running in early October. Stay tuned and check our Facebook or Twitter pages for updates, or sign up for the Freshest Cargo newsletter to receive email alerts about your local route.
Please note that our Sunday East Oakland route will be operating on schedule as a farm stand in our usual route locations.
Thank you for bearing with us, fruit and veggie fans – we’ll be back as soon as we can!
